Vape
This is the term used to describe using your e-cig. You should never say that you “smoke” or are “smoking” an e-cig, as these are terms that refer to cigarettes.

First Generation
Also called “cig-alikes” or shortened to first gen. This was the first e-cig to become popular. They look and feel like real cigarettes, and can be either disposable or reusable.

Second Generation
Can be shortened to second gen. These are the mid-size e-cigs that look like pens. They are heavier and bigger than first gen e-cigs, and look nothing like an actual cigarette. Second gen e-cigs use e-liquid, or e-juice, that comes in a variety of flavors.

Cartridges
The disposable part of your e-cig that holds the e-liquid. In first gen e-cigs, you attach the cartridge to your rechargeable e-cig. Once it runs out of e-liquid, you replace it with a new cartridge. E-cig cartridges come in a variety of flavors and nicotine levels.

Disposable
These are one time use e-cigs that generally last for about 300-800 puffs. They come in a number of different flavors. Disposable e-cigs are perfect for people who only casually vape.

ADV
This stands for “all day vape” and refers to an e-liquid that you never get tired of vaping.

Dry Hit
When you take a hit of your e-cig and no vapor is produced. This usually happens when you have run out of e-liquid.
